Palmer Lake is located at 7300 ft altitude between Denver and Colorado Springs, Colorado; in the foothills of the Rocky Mountains.
Established in 1886, the town borders the national forest, ranch lands, and the ancestral lands of several Native American groups

The town hosts an annual wine festival, theater, kids fishing contest, music concerts and art events, Winter Fest, restaurants, and many summer days around the lake.
